"Good products but the wait was frustrating"
I ordered something that said it was in stock and then later found out it was actually backordered. I ended up waiting longer than I thought I would and the updates were slow. Support did answer me but they didn’t really give me a clear shipping date. I still like their products but the ordering process was annoying this time

"My first impression was positive because the…"
My first impression was positive because the software downloads were easy to find right away. After installing the firmware updates, the issues I was having with my camera were actually fixed. It’s always nice when you do an update and things just work like they’re supposed to

"Pretty solid once I got it going"
Works smoothly with my camera files and my Resolve setup. I did run into a couple little setup hiccups at first, but nothing too crazy. I’m guessing it might be a bit picky depending on your system or settings, though I can’t say for sure. Overall, it’s been good.

"Solid camera, just wish the battery lasted longer"
I’ve been happy with the camera overall. The footage looks good and it does what I need, especially when it’s plugged in. The only downside is the battery life — it runs down faster than I expected, and the power settings took me a little while to figure out. For shorter stuff it’s fine, but for longer shoots I’d definitely keep extra batteries around.

"Super helpful when I’m figuring things out"
I mostly use their docs and beginner tutorials for DaVinci Resolve and the Blackmagic camera stuff, because I’m not always patient enough to figure everything out on my own. The pages usually explain things in a really plain way, and the screenshots are a big help when I inevitably get lost or miss some obvious button. Some of the older info takes a little digging to find, but that might just be me not searching properly. Overall, it’s saved me a ton of trial and error, and it’s a really nice free resource to have around

"Helpful forums and plugins"
The forums and plugins helped me a lot. I thought I might need to dig through a bunch of extra tutorials, but that ended up being unnecessary because I found most of what I needed quickly.

"Really happy with it, but the extras add up"
I’m really glad I bought it. At first I was excited because it felt totally worth the money, and it works just like I hoped. Then I got a little annoyed when I realized some of the accessories I wanted weren’t included and had to be bought separately. Still, I’m happy overall, just wish the extra costs were more obvious upfront.

"Solid tools I’m happy to keep using"
I’ve been using Blackmagic Design gear and software for a while now, and overall I’ve had a good experience. DaVinci Resolve can occasionally crash when I’m working on bigger projects, which is annoying, but it doesn’t happen often enough to really put me off. Most updates seem to actually improve things instead of creating new problems, which I appreciate. It’s not flawless, but it’s reliable enough for my day-to-day work, and I’d definitely keep using it.

"Refund went through smoothly"
I ended up returning the item, not because anything dramatic happened, it just wasn’t quite what I needed. The return process was simple enough, and I was expecting it to take longer, but the refund showed up after a few days. Support explained things clearly, which I appreciated because I was kind of jumping between emails and tracking info trying to keep it all straight. Overall, easy...

"Good products, support was kind of a letdown"
I do like the products overall, and they’ve mostly been fine for me. But trying to get help from support was frustrating. I opened a ticket about some issue I was having and waited a few days, maybe longer, before anyone got back to me. When they finally replied, it felt generic, like a copy-paste kind of answer. I had to follow up again, and even then I didn’t really get a clear fix. It wasn’t the worst experience ever or anything, but for a company this big, I expected the support to be a bit quicker and more useful

"Works fine, but not totally sure about the buttons"
It works fine overall, so I can’t really complain too much. The only thing is the buttons feel a little cheap sometimes, or maybe I’m just being picky. They still do what they’re supposed to do, but the feel isn’t quite as solid as I expected.

"Looks nice, but kind of frustrating"
The site actually looks good at first, and I liked the overall design, but somehow it still took me way too long to find the downloads and product info. It feels polished, yet also a bit all over the place. Navigation isn’t awful, but it’s not exactly clear either, so I ended up clicking around more than I expected

"Straightforward Warranty Experience"
I had an issue with my Blackmagic camera and my first instinct was that the warranty process was going to be a hassle, but I’m glad I didn’t overthink it. Support got back to me quickly and laid out exactly what they needed me to send in. The repair took a little time, but it wasn’t anything unreasonable, and the camera came back working perfectly. No surprise charges, no strange back and forth, just a smooth experience overall. Really happy with how they handled everything.

"I’ve been using Blackmagic Design gear mostly for…"
I’ve been using Blackmagic Design gear mostly for studio and post work, mainly Resolve and a DeckLink card, and overall it’s been solid. It handles heavy 4K timelines and a lot of color work better than I expected, so I get the feeling it’s really built with working editors in mind, not just hobby users. That said, it’s not totally flawless. Every now and then an update will fix one issue but make something else act a little strange, so I’ve learned not to update in the middle of a project. The support docs are decent, but from the way they’re written, I sometimes assume they expect you to already know your way around the software, so it can take some digging. Still, for day-to-day professional use, it’s been reliable enough and feels like good value for the money...

"Works good with my other gear"
I hooked my Pocket 6K up with my old lenses, a Rode mic, Samsung SSD, and my ATEM switcher, and it all just worked without much fuss. I did have to grab the extra cable, but that’s normal with this kind of setup. it’s nice when a gear doesn’t fight you every step of the way.

"Late delivery and not enough updates"
My order ended up arriving later than expected, and I didn’t really get any helpful updates along the way. I understand delays can happen, but it feels only fair to keep customers in the loop when they’re waiting on something they paid for

"A bit confusing to figure out"
I tried using it for a while, but it wasn’t very easy to get the hang of. Some of the steps felt confusing, especially that one part where you’re supposed to move things around or whatever. I eventually managed a little, but it definitely could be more user-friendly.

"Takes a Bit to Learn, But It Clicks"
DaVinci Resolve definitely looked intimidating when I first opened it. There were so many tabs and buttons that I spent most of the first day just poking around and watching tutorials. But after I finished a couple small projects, it started to make a lot more sense. I feel like software like this usually seems overwhelming until you actually use it for something real. The learning curve is definitely there, but once you get used to the layout, the tools feel well organized. For me, it ended up being worth the time

"Easy install, but I hope it stays that way"
I downloaded the software from blackmagicdesign.com the whole process was painless. I found the right version without much trouble, which I was a little worried about at first. The driver setup went smoothly too, and my device showed up right away. Took maybe 10 minutes total. So far I’m happy with it, but if future updates turn into a hassle, I’d probably start looking at other options

"I’ve been using DaVinci Resolve for a…"
I’ve been using DaVinci Resolve for a bit, and overall I’m impressed. The editing and color tools are really strong, and I like that I can do most of what I need in one program instead of jumping between apps. That said, it definitely took me some time to figure out where everything is, and the interface can feel a little overwhelming at first. It also lags on my laptop here and there, which gets frustrating. Still, once it’s running smoothly, it’s a really capable editing app
